Bad news
Added 2024-12-19 12:01:14 +0000 UTCI don't know how it happened but somehow the entire chapter 3 file got deleted and overwritten/autosaved by CSIDE just now. Which means all of the progress I made on the file since Monday got deleted too. Fortunately, I can recover the previous update files from the cogdemos website but the new progress is completely lost and I tried everything. It's gone. All 5000 words.
So I have to write the whole thing all over again. (the new content anyway, I still have the text from the Monday update).
Fuck. I don't know how this happened. I think I may have pushed a wrong button or something, the text got deleted, and then CSIDE autosaved over the empty document 5 seconds later. And now there is no way to recover the previous version. I've been trying for an hour.
I will drink something now. And then I will start writing again. I don't know how much I will progress with the new update now. I'll try but I'm pretty low on morale right now 馃槥

Oof yeah now I just got reminded of this. Damn CSIDE... It goes without saying that I turned off the auto-save since then and I'm using Google Drive sync that saves every version of the file in case something like this happens again... Damn I was so sad :c

2025-01-21 19:01:45 +0000 UTCOh man this sucks. All the hard work gone. I experienced something in that way too. I lost all my savefiles from 2024 PS5 when I got the PS5 pro. Forgot to activate the PS plus saves and didn't put the saves on my new PS5. Have to replay like 3 games again. 馃ズ
