The bell above the cafรฉ door chimed sweetly, drowned out almost instantly by the heavy thud of muscle-packed footfalls approaching from behind the counter.
Cafรฉ Micpawโs most overqualified waitress emerged from the kitchenโher vein-riddled delts rippling beneath the frilly trim of her cat maid uniform, traps thick enough to puff the black bow at her collarโand delicately balanced a monstrous platter in one hand. Each bicep flexed slightly with every step, even though the dish weighed more than some customers.
โNya~! One โNyafu-Tower Steak Stackโ coming right up!โ she purred, flashing a warm smile that sparkled under the cafรฉ lights.
The sandwich was absurd: three slabs of perfectly grilled steak, draped in thick gravy, stacked between toasted honey-miso buns, with lettuce as a polite formality. Toothpicks the size of chopsticks barely held the thing together. It steamed in the air like a monument of decadence.
She leaned just slightly as she slid the plate onto the table, her chest bulging mightily under the tensionโpecs twitching with the effort despite her casual grace.
Across the room, another customer nervously peeked out from behind a menu, whispering, โIs that the waitress with the biceps bigger than my whole torso?โ
Another nodded. โAnd those are just her resting arms.โ
The cat-eared titan tilted her head playfully and gave a wink.
โCareful~ This sandwichโs got claws. Itโs been known to defeat first-timers.โ
Then she turned on her heelโglutes carving arcs beneath the soft frills of her apronโand strutted back to the kitchen, the faint clinking of her outfit barely audible beneath the boom of each thigh-powered step.
The Nyafu-Tower sat waiting, daring its challenger to take the first bite.
